Installation of (4) new Radiation Portal Monitors (RPMs) for the APM Port Elizabeth location. The project included the installation of 1 mile of underground 4-4″ PVC Concrete Encased Conduit Ductbank with (21) 6x6x6 Concrete Precast Manholes with Airport rated Frame and Covers for interconnection of fiber cable installation for communication requirements.

Installation of a new Access Control System including door locks, crash bars, card readers, security CCTV cameras, and the related controls and integration into the PA Control System. Work also includes replacement of 20 new SS security doors and other various hardware at approximately 80 other doors. Work is located at the GWB, GWB Bus Station, Holland Tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, and PA Bus Terminal on both the NJ and NY sides.

Installation of New SCADA control and PLC cabinets to monitor NJAW sites within Picatinny Arsenal, using cellular and RF antennas for communication.

Upgrade NJ Transit’s PABT Operations Control Center, which includes: cameras, VMSs, wireless access points, along with associated cables and conduits.

Installation of CCTV Cameras on the New York and New Jersey Portals of the Lincoln Tunnel and Installation of Video Recording Capability for the Entire Lincoln Tunnel Camera System.

Installation and Integration of a New Public Announcement System, CCTV System (Nice Vision), Remote Control Elevator System, LAN System, Passenger Communication System, and other upgrades.

Installation of Concrete Encased Underground Conduit Ductbank, Large Precast underground Manholes with Airport Rated Frame and Covers, Pole Foundations, Installation of Fiber Optic Cable and Power Distribution Systems to support Radar Detectors and Security cameras throughout the Newark Liberty International Airport and Teterboro Airport.

The contract work included the installation of 28 new communication nodes throughout and around the GWB Facility. Provisions for the node power safety, and security were installed. All facility information and security systems were cut over from the existing communication system to the new system and tested.

Installation of approximately 50,000 feet of exposed PVC coated conduit and 30,000 feet of fiber optic cable from Fletcher Avenue to Amsterdam Avenue on the Eastbound and Westbound roadways to create a new communication ring. Work also included the installation of 12 Structural steel Platforms for future Communication Cabinets to be installed under Contract GWB-480 which was also constructed by Daidone Electric.

Rehabilitation of 42 Sign Controllers at Various locations along the NJ Turnpike.

This Design Build contract was to Design, Furnish, Install, and Maintain a state of the art Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA). Daidone installed all power and communication systems, primary and backup command centers, and installed all RCU and RTUs at various locations around the facility in all vent buildings on the New York and New Jersey sides. Control system included over 10,000 I/O Points.

Furnished and Installed a Supervisory and Control System for the NYCTA’s data and voice communication requirements in the Boroughs of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. At the time of installation, the NYCTA claimed it as the largest network of its type in the world. The system utilized 3.2 Million feet of Fiber Optic Cable configured in 7 Major Rings. Network Equipment was installed in a total 125 Substations, 8 PBK Rooms, and 3 Head End Control Centers. Daidone has continued to maintain the network equipment since project completion in 1994.
